Teacher Guidelines & Content Terms

Overview: Teacher Accounts (`teacher/`) provide powerful tools for test authoring, DPP creation, PDF notes publishing, live instruction, and student attendance tracking. This Policy outlines teacher responsibilities, content ownership, and roster boundaries.

1. Teacher Registration & Institution Verification

Teachers registering on Consisto must provide accurate professional credentials and select their official school affiliation (`school_code`), subject specializations, and assigned classes during onboarding. Falsifying school affiliation or attempting unauthorized access to student records is strictly prohibited.

2. Content Ownership & Licensing Grant

Educators retain full copyright and ownership of original educational materials—including test questions, solution explanations, practice papers (DPPs), and PDF study notes—authored or uploaded via the Teacher Engine (`create-test.php`, `dpp-editor`, `notes.php`):

  • Licensing Grant to Consisto: By publishing content on the platform, teachers grant Consisto a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, render, format, and deliver such materials to enrolled students and authorized institutions.
  • Collaborative Tests: When participating in collaborative test authoring (`collab-test`), co-authors receive editing rights as designated by the test owner.

3. Student Roster Access & Privacy Scoping

Teacher access to student records (`students.php`, `student-detail.php`) is strictly limited to authorized educational purposes for students enrolled within the teacher's affiliated institution and classes:

  • Teachers may view student academic progress, test submissions, and attendance logs to provide academic guidance.
  • Teachers may not export, sell, or disclose student Personally Identifiable Information (PII) to third parties.
  • QR-code attendance scanning (`scan-attendance.php`) must be conducted exclusively during authorized class sessions.

4. Conduct During Live Classes & Doubts Resolution

Teachers leading Consisto Meet live classrooms or responding to student doubt queries (`doubts.php`) must maintain professional standards of conduct. Live screen sharing must be strictly restricted to curriculum materials. Inappropriate behavior or harassment will result in immediate revocation of teacher privileges.
