Acceptable Use Policy
1. General Prohibitions
You agree not to use the Consisto platform to:
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
- Transmit any material that is abusive, harassing, tortious, defamatory, vulgar, pornographic, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable.
- Stalk, harass, or harm another individual, including students, teachers, or our support staff.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
2. Academic Integrity & Cheating
As an educational tool, Consisto strictly prohibits the use of its features (including the Community board, Whiteboards, and file sharing) to facilitate academic dishonesty. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Sharing answers to active examinations or standardized tests.
- Coordinating plagiarism or unauthorized collaboration.
- Selling or distributing copyrighted academic materials without permission.
3. System Abuse & Security
You are prohibited from violating or attempting to violate the security of the Service, including, without limitation:
- Accessing data not intended for you or logging onto a server or an account which you are not authorized to access.
- Attempting to probe, scan or test the vulnerability of a system or network or to breach security or authentication measures without proper authorization.
- Attempting to interfere with service to any user, host or network, including via means of submitting a virus to the Service, overloading, "flooding," "spamming," "mailbombing," or "crashing."
- Using automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to harvest data from the platform.
4. Enforcement and Penalties
Consisto reserves the right, but does not assume the obligation, to investigate any violation of this AUP or misuse of the Service. We may:
- Investigate violations of this AUP or misuse of the Service.
- Remove, disable access to, or modify any content or resource that violates this AUP.
- Report any activity that we suspect violates any law or regulation to appropriate law enforcement officials, regulators, or other appropriate third parties.
5. End-to-End Encrypted Content
While Consisto cannot read your End-to-End Encrypted (E2EE) data (such as Journals), the use of E2EE to store or transmit illegal material (such as CSAM, terrorism materials, or stolen credentials) is strictly prohibited. If we receive a valid legal order regarding illegal activity originating from an account, we will comply with law enforcement by providing metadata and encrypted blobs as required by law.
